About Bishop

Apostle Charlotte Jeffreys

Chosen vessel, compassionate and strategic leader, anointed ambassador and marketplace master are only a few words that effectively describe Apostle Charlotte Hayes Jeffreys. Committed to serving Jesus Christ to the best of her ability, she has remained committed to the cause of the kingdom.  Since (year), she has given tirelessly of herself as a minister of the Gospel.   An elevation to the office of Apostle came in 1987 when, through a dream, the Lord instructed her to birth Divine Direction Ministries and recently the Lure church, a ministry for hurting people, geared to men and women that are homeless, imprisoned, and/or simply in need of love.  The ministry has flourished to become Divine Direction International Worship Center with locations in Texas, Georgia, Maryland, and Montego Bay.  To this day, Apostle Charlotte still continues to provide food, housing, financial counseling, and spiritual guidance to all that need it.

Apostle Charlotte operates in the calling of the prophetic. Accordingly, she is fearless and unwavering in what she teaches and preaches.  Her “no back down” spiritual mindset, along with her electrifying and candid approach to teaching the Word, makes her one of the body of Christ’s most widely sought after speakers.  She has traveled across the United States and the Caribbean ministering at conferences and seminars in a manner that is both practical and relevant, yielding life changing deliverance, healing, and restoration. Her outreach ministry has brought transformative Bible studies into homes, beauty salons, strip clubs, women’s shelters, and the marketplace. An encourager and motivator, Bishop Charlotte is anointed to shepherd ministerial leaders — inspiring them to excel and fulfill their divine purpose.  Since 2001, she has remained under the covering of Bishop Lance Johnson, Senior Pastor of Relevate Church in Woodstock, Georgia.

Understanding that ministry is not confined to the four walls of a church per se, Apostle Charlotte further shares her gifts by serving as an Editorial Pastor and Contributing Writer for several religious and prophetic blogs and for global publications geared toward female pastors and women in ministry. She is also the founder of Elevation Seven, Inc., a women’s outreach ministry; School of Ministry, a training institute for ministerial leaders; and a mentoring program designed to build the self-esteem of young girls.  There is a special place in Apostle Charlotte’s heart for Civil Rights and Social Action, Economic Empowerment, Health, Human Rights, Politics and Social Services.

Blessed with unique business savvy, Apostle Charlotte embodies an immensity of experience as a business owner as well as in corporate America. She has an impressive track record of blazing trails in the Telecommunications, Pharmaceutical and Banking industries for more than 30 years.  She has also owned and operated several consulting companies that put her in the marketplace, both domestically and internationally.  In every environment, she continually exemplifies effective Christian leadership, and shows an uncanny ability to develop leaders and mentor “diamonds in the rough.” Apostle Charlotte’s ultimate goal is to use all of her God given talents in many new business ventures that will eliminate unemployment, poverty, foreclosures, bad banking mannerism, and family relationships.  She was recently certified as a housing Counseling where she created her own agency and is the Executive Director, where she is the several recipient of many housing counseling certificates.

Apostle Charlotte’s life within itself is a tremendous testimony of God’s grace, mercy, and favor. She made the courageous decision to stay with and support her husband of 22 years after he was diagnosed with HIV and AIDS.  God kept her covered, never allowing her to be infected with the virus.  She is ever grateful for her children, Mankell Hayes and Rose Shavi Hayes-Wright for their love and loyalty during this time when many turned their backs on them.  Her children have blessed her with five beautiful grandchildren whom she affectionately refers to as “the J’s”: Alvin Jerome, Jazzmen, Jaiden, Jacee and Jaia.

Although Apostle Charlotte had accepted the strong possibility that she would never marry again, a fateful encounter with a stranger on an airplane blossomed into a beautiful friendship and love story. In May 2008, God united Apostle Charlotte and Jay Jeffrey’s.

They currently minister together in their home state of Texas with a relaunch in Atlanta, in 2019.
